Why Choose Our Setting?
A warm welcome to all parents and children. My name is Jennifer Schol. I am the manager of the setting. I have worked as a professional Registered Childminder since 2001. I provide high quality child care and education – my experience and qualifications reflect this. I have looked after many children, in some cases for long periods of time e.g. from a baby through to secondary school. The children I care for range in age from 3 months to 11 years old. I am committed to the care, education and wellbeing of all the children I look after, giving them and their parents stability and continuity of care in a safe environment.
There are two other registered childminders working at Little Poppets Childcare. My daughter Jasmine Schol, who has been a keyworker in a preschool and worked in nurseries. She has excellent experience that she has brought to the setting, worked extensively with children with SEN and has excellent training. My husband Darrin Schol is also a registered childminder and came over to childminding full time at the end of 2017. Mr Michael Schol is a Registered Assistant.
This is a setting where parents and children feel really welcomed. Children become part of a big extended family here where they are loved and cared for. Children in our care have clear routines and boundaries. They grow in confidence, independence and self esteem, proud of who they are, of their individual differences and importantly be part of a growing diverse community. We believe that a child’s develops well when they are mixing with others of all ages and are out and about in their community every day, where they learn about important people in our community, learn about the community which they live in, form good relationships and can appreciate our growing and diverse community and world.
