EEE Funding

Early Education Entitlement – 30 hours.

You are probably aware that when a child attends a setting such as pre-school, childminder or school attached nurseries, some settings will offer EEE government funding.  Little Poppets Childcare now offers 30 hours funding per week. Four year old children are automatically eligible for a free place.

All applications have to be made online by parents.  You can apply if you have a child aged 2, 3 or 4 years old.  For three and four year old’s please apply on-line (www.childcarechoices.gov.uk).   For two year old children, funding is only subject to parents meeting certain criteria.  Please apply on-line ( www.havering.gov.uk/eee).  Settings offering the funding should be informed at the same time as the parent if the child is eligible for funding.  Therefore the parents must add the setting name to their applications. Where a parent is not eligible for funding, only the parent / carer will be informed.

Childcare Vouchers / Child Tax Credits

Childcare Vouchers are being phased out, however we still accept these if your company offer this.
Tax Free Childcare, is a scheme set up to help working parents with the costs of their childcare. Families will be able to apply for all children in the family at the same time as soon as the youngest child becomes eligible.

For every £8 paid into the online account by the parent, the Government will immediately top up £2 into the parent account up to a maximum of £2,000 per child per year or £4,000 for disabled children. Our setting has signed up to this scheme for you.

Our Availability & Setting Closure Dates

7.30-6.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Open term time and school holidays (excl. bank holidays).

The settings closure/holiday times are sent to parent at the beginning of January for the year through our outstanding Babysdays online system.

There are 3 practitioners working from the setting at Little Poppets Childcare.  Each practitioner can have up to 6 children under the age of 8 years old.  No more than 3 of these to be under 5 years and no more than one child under the age of 1 year old (unless an exception such as siblings).  Although we are allowed to take on this amount of children we never work to capacity, as we consider the needs of each child, the space within our setting and how much one to one each child requires.
